Miss Ellie...

She is four months old later this week. Can't believe it. It's going too fast. Faster than with the first two. Sometimes I just sit down in the chair and hold her really close and force myself to try to remember this moment for the future when she won't be this little any more. She is such a good baby.
She's got deep blue eyes like Avery and I and still a head of dark hair. At first I was hoping it would turn blonde because I didn't want her to feel left out, but now I am hoping it stays. God only knows what it will be, but she is so beautiful it won't matter what color it is.

She's starting to grab at toys and roll to her side. She looks just like Avery did when she was a baby. She still smells so good that I love to nuzzle her neck and just smell her...sounds weird I know.

Here she is at the Bradford's farm where she just chilled and slept the whole time while we ate, gathered eggs, and learned about this years garden.

She's loving to snuggle now. I found this little soft doll and Walmart and she loves to cuddle it and "kiss" it.

Happy Birthday to my sweet sweet boy.

In true Reece fashion, we had bumps, bruises, and scrapes on his birthday.
He got a basketball hoop. Hoping to have another outlet for all that energy!

Those eyes...

So excited to see Woody and cake since junkfood is his favorite food group.

We really kept things lighter on the gift side this year. He got a basketball hoop, Toy Story movie, Woodie from us. Don't worry he has Buzz too that was in his Easter basket.

I asked Avery to put the sprinkles on and she used the whole bottle. Reece's name is under there somewhere!

Attempting a hug during all the excitement.

Love my little buddy. He's my greatest challenge, but also brings the hardiest laughs.
I love you Reece. I can't wait to see what kind of man you are going to grow up to be. Your daddy is doing an amazing job teaching you how to treat a lady and I know he loves that you follow him around everywhere with your "tools" and copy everything he does. You're starting to help daddy a lot and even loved using your wagon to spread mulch around the yard!
Your sisters and I will probably drive you crazy wiht all the talking and "girly" stuff, but I think God gave you a strong, sweet, silly personality to handle that!
Love,
Mommy

Avery Ballerina

Avery and I post recital.

These are Avery's techers.

Fun with Mommy and that gorgeous hair.

Camera doing some weird things.

Is this guy not hot? Still makes my heart pitter patter. He brought his baby girl a bouquet of bright colorful daisies. I love how he loves his kids.

Avery's BFF showed up with flowers. So beyond cute. We didn't know Kaiden was coming to the recital and she gave Avery the prettiest rose for her performance. What a sweetie!

There are never enough kisses to go around for Ellie. She was a trooper while I chaperoned Avery's class. Just slept in the baby bjorn for most of it.

Here are all the girls. There is nothing cuter than 5 year old ballerinas. Avery was up for striking a pose. My shy little sweetheart blossoms when she is in ballet. It has been so great for her socially.

She's growing up. I kept picturing her in high school while watching the older girls perform and it makes me try to savor each of these moments.
AVERY: I am so proud of you honey. You did an awesome job and I so proud of your good behavior and politeness while waiting to perform. I hope that you follow through with ballet and continue to enjoy it as we love watching you learn and dance.

That did NOT just happen...

On the way home from church Shane and I saw a turtle in the middle of the road. Look at that! We exclaimed! Pull over Shane I'm going to move it to the side of the road. Megan, make sure you show the kids, they'll love it! Shane slows down and pulls into driveway. Puts car in reverse to drive back, Megan puts hand on door and starts to open it.... RED JEEP COMES BARRELING DOWN THE ROAD. Yes, you know what happens. SPLAT.... major sadness and depression. SHane and I were legitimately experiencing post traumatic stress disorder. It was horrible. We're pretty sure he aimed as he changed courses near the turtle. Have you ever heard of anything so sad. It was very hard to watch something needlessly be killed in front of your eyes, on your way to save its life. It might sound trivial, but Shane and I can barely talk about it without tearing up. I just want the owner of that red JEEP to know that I have my eye out for you! I would stay far away from the Carvers. The hardest part of the whole thing is that we drove back by the turtle whispering away at each other about how we wanted to egg that guys house and had forgotten that Avery now sits in the middle of the very back seat and can SEE IT ALL! She however was way less disturbed by it than her parents. ha!
